SpeculatingStocks.com Stock Pick: Xybernaut Corporation (XYBR)

Stock Price: $1.38

Xybernaut Corporation is the leading provider of wearable/mobile computing hardware, software and services. The company brings communications and full-function computing power in a hands-free, mobile design for people in the medical, security, and shipping industries.

The technology offered by this company is somewhat ahead of its time, but is still very practical. In the future the technology will be used by FedEx to provide line maintenance technicians wireless access and information, increasing critical airplane hub turnaround times. However, in the future wearable devices could become commonplace for secretaries, business executives, and even law enforcement, similar to the movie “Minority Report”.

If security forces do start to take these wearable devices more seriously, XYBR could become another TASR. Xybernaut’s Wearable Computing was highlighted at the recent 2004 Government Security Expo and Conference. The U.S. military has found that Xybernaut products could decrease downtime and increase readiness.

XYBR appears to be bottoming at the $1.40 level and should bounce back in the near future.
